Discovery Student Adventures are all about learning while exploring and having fun. Our programs offer rich education through hands-on activities before and during the trip, leading to a life-long curiosity and interest in global education.

Through focused curriculum tailored to our programs, students will explore the history, natural science, culture, art, geography and ecology of their destination. Assigned coursework and successful completion of a program combine to qualify students for several forms of academic credit through Washington School of World Studies, a dually accredited travel study and distance learning school.

Students will receive a transcript upon completion of the program.

Student Academic Credit

What will your academic resume say about you when the time comes to get into college? Stand out from the competition in the college admissions race, and show colleges and universities your educational experience in and out of the classroom:

Students in grades 5-8 earn a Certificate of Completion. This certificate helps add credibility to a student’s scholarship and university applications, giving them an advantage during the selection process.

Students in grades 9-12 earn one semester elective credit (subject TBD) and 10 service-learning hours for completion of a community service project while on the program.

Continuing Education Credit for Educators

Because of the comprehensive curriculum our leaders are asked to deliver before and during these unique programs, educators may be eligible for continuing education units (CEU).

Additionally, educators receive custom curriculum for their classrooms.
