Discovery Student Adventures don’t just take students beyond the classroom and beyond borders; they also take students beyond themselves. Through rewarding service projects designed to help local communities in other countries, students have the unique ability to give back in meaningful ways. Every Discovery Student Adventure program features a community service project that will allow students to leave a lasting imprint.

Projects include activities such as:

  • Replanting a coral reef in the Fiji Islands
  • Preparing and serving meals within a home for disabled children in South Africa
  • A grassroots reforestation project alongside locals in Costa Rica
  • Brightening the facilities of a children’s hospice with a group art project in China
  • Join local children to help preserve the Galapagos’ gentle Giant Tortoises

Through these projects, students can qualify for service learning credits and earn an average of 10 credits/hours. Service learning credits can be used toward high school graduation requirements and help students stand out on a college application.
