At Discovery Student Adventures, we’ve thought through every detail of your program so you don’t have to. All you have to do is explore and have fun.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
All groups travel together with the leader(s) on an international flight from a U.S. gateway city. The city will be confirmed at time of reservation.
Main ground transportation is by private motor coach. In some instances, ferries (including overnight ferries), trains (including overnight trains), 4x4 vehicles and other modes of transportation will be utilized.
Meals
All programs include three meals daily with soft drinks and water. Most dining experiences will be in a buffet style or limited option menu. Meals will often be designed to include selections of “local fare” that represent common meal items for the destinations
Accommodations
Hotels:
Clean, safe and comfortable accommodations in minimum three star hotels are provided for our students. All hotels have been selected based on our highest health and safety standards.
Alternate Lodgings:
In order for students to be fully immersed in the program activities, accommodations outside of the traditional hotel experience have been secured and may include: jungle lodge, educational facility, research center, camping near Incan ruins, overnight aquarium experience in Australia, and snow caving in New Zealand. Accommodation descriptions are listed in each itinerary and they will be confirmed prior to departure on your post-enroll website.
As with our hotel selections, all lodging experiences are selected based on strict health and safety standards.
In-country experts
A full-time Travel Manager will escort each group every step of the way: from their arrival at the international airport to their departure. The Travel Manager handles the daily logistics in each country, working with the accompanying educators on the daily schedule, activity preparation and managing the group of students through their itinerary. The Travel Manager is also the group’s local reference point for their many questions as they explore the destination. Travel Managers are prepared with certain topics and mini-motor coach lessons at points throughout the itinerary, as well as overviews on the country’s history and culture.
